Church Growth Chart

EATS Logo w Shadow.png

This chart will give you an idea of the potential any church, of any size, in any place, at any time has locally to reach more people for Jesus with EATS.

Considerations:

  • Current Church Attendance (1): Find your current church attendance on the chart (or a number close to it) on column (1). This number is BEFORE EATS. The column on the far right, TOTAL NEW ATTENDANCE (8) – AFTER EATS – is the potential growth for your church with EATS.

  • Volunteering Adults w/EATS (3): This is the Total Adults Attending (2) x 25%. Notice, this column calculates at only 1 in 4 Adults at your church participating/volunteering with EATS. Adults are 18+. Although the chart is calculating on adult participation, all ages can be part of EATS.

  • Adult Response to Church Invite (5): According to Dunbar’s Number, each adult knows 150 people in Social Groups.[i] Other studies put this number as high as 290.[ii] This column is calculated by multiplying Social Group Connections (4) by only a 3.0% response rate to a church invite. A 3% response is a very conservative. Your response rate should be higher.

  • TOTAL NEW ATTENDANCE (8): Every church more than doubles in size with only 1 in 4 (25%) adults at a church participating with EATS, and only 3 in 100 (3%) response to a church invitation.

The Social Group Connections (4) column represents those individuals a church will be praying for by names and needs, building deeper relationships with, and inviting to church. These are the “neighbors” we are called to “love and serve as ourselves” in the name of Jesus.
